Do you have problems with snails and slugs?

In that case we would recommend the CASCADA Color plant tower or the CASCADA /CASCADINO 2-pc tower.
Put the more pest resistant plants in the bottom planter
Put the more pest resistant plants in the bottom planter, e.g. oregano, thyme, rosemary, chilli and garlic. Only use well developed plants rather than young herbs. On the top of the planter, less pest resistant herbs grow perfectly, e.g. basil, parsley and chervil.

Planting tips for Pesto alla genovese
Pesto alla genovese with herbs from your LECHUZA CASCADA

Pesto alla genovese

Puree three garlic cloves, 1/3 cup of pine nuts and 1/3 cup of Parmesan, about two handfuls of basil leaves and 100 ml of extra virgin olive oil. Pesto stays fresh in the refrigerator for up to four weeks in a jar topped with olive oil.

Summer salad with chicken

Take a head of lettuce, 4 tomatoes and a yellow pepper and cut it together with 1/2 pound of mozzarella in small pieces. Dice toast and roast it in a pan, flavor a chicken breast with salt and pepper, dice and fry. For the vinaigrette stir 1 teaspoon mustard with balsamic vinegar and add salt, pepper, some sugar and minced herbs. Add some olive oil and that's your summer salad.

Home made strawberry ice cream with ingredients from your LECHUZA CASCADINO

Home made strawberry ice cream

Put 1 1/3 cup of strawberries into a bowl and blend well. Whip 1 cup of cream until stiff and stir into the strawberry puree. Sweeten with 2 tbsp of caster sugar and 1 tbsp vanilla sugar. Place the strawberry mixture into the freezer and freeze. When ready, serve with strawberry pieces and/or cream on top.

Gazpacho with ingredients from your LECHUZA CASCADINO

Gazpacho for hot days

Gazpacho is surprisingly easy and quick to prepare:
Press 2 garlic cloves, mix with 3 tbsp of olive oil and soak 1/3 cup of diced baguette for 30 minutes in it. Cut 1 3/4 cup skinned tomatoes, 1/2 pitted cucumber and a small green pepper into pieces and puree all of it together with the bread in a blender. Flavor the soup with salt, pepper and balsamic, done!
